Sharon Hill International Announces New Diversity Podcasts

“Points of Perspective” Follows the Success of Etiquette Podcasts

Sharon Hill International is helping the public become aware of social differences by treating others with care and respect in its new podcast series, Points of Perspective. The new podcasts are an answer to the success of Hill’s previous series of etiquette podcasts, Minding Your Manners.

Minding Your Manners marked Sharon Hill International’s first foray into podcasting. With short and sensible segments such as, “How to Give and Receive Business Cards,” and “How to Interview over a Meal,” the series’ goal is to provide etiquette lessons at leisure for busy professionals. These short tutorials on basic etiquette for personal and professional situations were a hit among web users, and the series gained a five-star rating on ITunes.

The Minding Your Manners series was so popular among listeners that Hill decided to go a step further with the Points of Perspective series. The new series goes beyond office basics to concentrate on the proper protocol for dealing with diversity not only in the workplace, but in everyday situations as well. Thus far, Points of Perspective’s first four podcasts have covered such topics as sexual harassment and generational gaps in the workplace, cultural differences, and interactions with physically disabled persons.

Hill states, “After people responded so enthusiastically to my original etiquette podcasts, my email inbox was flooded with more difficult questions about sensitivity in the workplace. I decided these needed to be addressed in another series entirely. My hope is that the diversity podcasts help listeners to react with sensitivity to situations that go above and beyond basic office issues.”
